In one of Pakistan's brick kiln communities, a place often marked by poverty and hardship, a young Muslim boy's life was recently transformed through the compassionate outreach of Christchurch Ministries, with whom I partner in their mission work.
This 10-year-old boy from a Muslim family was severely injured when his foot became trapped in the back wheel of a motorbike, tearing away skin and muscle down to the bone.
With no treatment for weeks, his wound worsened, leaving him bedridden and facing a serious risk to his health, while his family watched helplessly, unable to afford the necessary medical care.
When our Christchurch Ministries team encountered him, we saw the urgent need to act. Together, we took him to a medical center, where he received the care required to heal his foot, sparing him from a future of limited mobility or potential amputation. Today, he is walking again and full of life—a testament to the power of compassionate intervention.
The impact of this care extended beyond physical healing. The boy's family, overwhelmed with gratitude for our ministry's support, expressed their deep thankfulness for this life-changing intervention.
Moved by this practical demonstration of Christian love in action, they eagerly agreed to accept an audio Bible, wanting to learn more about the gospel that inspired such compassion.
Their response beautifully illustrates how acts of service can open hearts and minds, as they witnessed the gospel not just in words, but through tangible care for their son.
